Audrey Paterson – Business Woman, Mum, Change your life

P33 AJP This was the registration I bought for my BMW when I started my first business at the age of 33.stop-chasing-the-money-picture-htm

Looking back 3 has always been my lucky number. I was Born on the 3/01/1963. Having left school at 16 with 5 O levels, where playing table tennis was my passion, where even going to work 9-5 was a chore, never mind contemplate building one of my businesses that generated £3 million pound turnover.

If someone had forecast how my life would turn out when I left school, I would have told them they were dreaming.

Fast forward as I now write my goals for 50 things to do before I am 55 I realise how amazing my life has been and yes I did this.

Was it easy, no, was it worth it, absolutely.  Probably the biggest regret of my life was not finding one of my businesses sooner, as if I had, I may have been able to take more than 2 weeks maternity leave.

I am a Financial Adviser, this is my main business, I suggest to all my client’s they too should have 3 income streams as you just never know when things will change, the revolving door is dreadful and having been made redundant once, it is not something I would not like anyone to have to experience.

Not only did I build my Financial Services business and sell it, I also successfully ran 2 other businesses all this around being a wife and mother and daughter of a father with dementia.
