After a few weeks of excitement, joy, celebrations and consuming my entire body weight in chocolatey goodness on numerous occasions, I’ve hit the January blues. The decorations have been taken down and my house looks dull and bare, I feel sick and lethargic after eating so much and work starts again today for many of us.
Instead of sticking to my usual cycle of wallowing, I have decided to change my outlook this year and create a plan to help me through the next few weeks. These aren’t resolutions – I have just one goal to work towards (that I will discuss at a later date) – but they are small lifestyle changes and ideas that I am slowly going to incorporate into each day in an attempt to beat the blues.
1. Create a list of things to look forward to. I love planning things that make me happy…
What makes your happy? I want you to really get in touch with your inner self and think what really makes you happy?
My happiest days recently have been walking my dog with my son and husband, isn’t it strange how everything changes when something traumatic happens in your life.
In May 2016 I lost my dad, this was 13 years after my mum, this has made me totally re-evaluate my life and really get in touch with my inner self.
Have you every looked at the Law of Attraction? I did a course on this in 2016 which really made such a difference, I no longer fret about the things I don’t have. Instead I feel grateful for the things I have and have achieved.
